I'm currently applying for the Stony Brooks accelerated RN program. I heard it's a great program and I've been looking forward to getting in for a year now.
The problem is I'm having a hard time obtaining professional references: I worked 6 1/2 years in direct care for adults with autism. I was AMAP'd and worked closely with the group home's LPN and was looking forward to recieving a great reference from her (and my direct supervisor). however, I was recently (wrongfully) fired from that job and am now left without hope of getting a professional reference for my application. Does anybody have any advice? I'd appreciate it.

Maybe the LPN at the group home would be willing to provide a letter of reference for you, provided that she was not behind you getting fired.
