I moved from CA to upstate NY last year and I assume the process is similar for LVN as it was for RN. Just fill out some forms, send one to California so they can verify the license to NY (along with money

), send one to your school to do the same (possibly with money) and one to the board in NY (definitely with money). Wait two months, bother them a little and voila, you have a NY license. There's a few other things like an online infection control and/or child abuse course, but those things you could work out when you get closer.
Forms and money will get it done assuming you have already passed nclex by then.

Be aware the pay here is nothing like it is in California!
