Moving to the southwest in June and trying to get some idea of where to work. Tell me of some good places in New Mexico (to work and live)?

Albuquerque is awesome! There are a lot more options there since it's our biggest city. And it's close to Santa Fe, which is beautiful; the Sandias are right there. There's definitely a lot more to do there than a lot of other places in NM and it's right in the center of the state. Not to mention the Balloon Fiesta every October....There's something for everyone in Albuquerque.

As far as hospitals, there's quite a few to choose from. And they're all pretty good. Albuquerque has the best hospitals in this state so you can't go wrong.

You DO NOT want to come to Southern NM. I hate it here and can't wait to be able to leave! (I live in Las Cruces, which is an hour north of El Paso, TX/Juarez, Mexico)

That's just my 2 cents!! Good luck!

Hi there:

Albuquerque is really a great city, we are in the same process moving from South Florida to NM, we were there for interviews, Presbyterian looks like the best option if you care about pay rate.

A lot of stuff to do outdoors and awesome sunny days with 0 humidity.

Thanks for the replies. Went from central Florida to NW Montana and now since my daughter will be graduating from high school, I can go somewhere else. Still looking in Arizona and New Mexico and would prefer a small town setting instead of the big city. But, I will do whatever seems best when the time comes.
