what to expect in the first semester at Ocean County College?

I have been accepted for the Nursing Program at OCC for Fall. I am trying to get a feel for what the first year will be like, and trying to figure out a plan for working around class schedules. I need to work at least 35 hours, and i have to arrange childcare for my 2!

1. I was told that clinicals are not announced until August. In general, how many weeks before the semester begins are clinicals assigned?

2. For first semester, is it usually one 8 hour day? Do you start in hospitals right away, or is the first semester spent at the on campus lab? Can you describe what to expect, and the likelihood of getting a weekend assignment?

3. How many lab hours are required on top of class and clinical hours?
