No you don't need luck to pass nursing school YOU NEED TO STUDY HARD. So to the TRINITAS NURSING STUDENT I SAY STUDY HARD and DON'T listen to other people WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS, just focus on your studies. EVERY NURSING SCHOOL IS HARD. PEOPLE DO GRADUATE FROM TRINITAS AND YOU COULD BE ONE OF THE GRADUATES STAY FOCUSED

I TOTALLY agree with you!! The majority of the ppl that talk about Trinitas here are always negative, but in reality lots of my friends who are in other nursing schools say they struggle too in their program. I was in the Bloomfield program and I've seen students literally cry when they got their exam grades. I think what it is is that the exams that students are given in nursing schools are NCLEX style questions. The thing is the professors don't even tell their students how to prepare for it. If you think about it, they want to make sure students are prepared not only to graduate, but to pass NCLEX after graduation so the school's NCLEX passing rate for the program will be higher. That's why they start weeding out the ones who they think are not ready in the program, and those are probably the ones that don't do good on the exams, which are exactly like NCLEX style quest. (also clinicals). Personally, that's what I think why ALL nursing programs are hard and why I also agree that ppl should really focus hard on the program and study study study!!!
Btw, I'm in UCC this fall and I recently got a letter from Trinitas being "considered" to register for NURE 130 for the Spring semester of 2010. The letter had the times being offered for the Spring semester and to e-mail them the desired times u want. And it also has the website to determine if you are officially invited. For anyone who is in the same position as me applying for the Spring semester at Trinitas, did you also get a "considered" letter from them. I e-mailed them right away for the spring schedule, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I should find out this Friday if I get in. (i'll keep my fingers crossed

been there and done that with Trinitas.. thanks God im no longer there but as time go on you will soon see (semester get muchhhhh harder).. i agree all nursing schools are challenging, however, Trinitas grading system isnt fair, they dont care about the students at all and some of there instructors feel as though the exams arent fair.. i made it all the way through without a repeat but i can still say that i wouldnt encourage anyone to go there.

Quoted for truth. i made it through without repeating. the exams were ridiculous. i'm just glad i'm out of that place. real nursing world is completely different. good luck to whoever goes there.

are the nursing exams in Trinitas departmental exams or do the professors make them? And are exam questions at Trinitas NCLEX style questions (questions you see in like the NCLEX review books, that sort of thing)?

sometimes you will see questions from the Saunders NCLEX review book. I believe they buy a huge bank of nclex style questions. the quizzes i'm pretty sure they make them up. its usually only 10 questions anyways. good luck.

Most of the questions are the questions that the faculty make up (they are very hard and tricky) read very very carefully. also 232 math question is bananas.. I mean you can study out the book for years but the questions and the answers just dont relate. Best of luck.

Just finished 131 and "a little birdie" had told me that they know how much harder their program is then others and they like it that way. Besides the NCLEX passing rate their nurses supposedly get hired faster because of where they went to school because hospitals in the area know those students know there stuff. I know someone who went to another private school and did exceptionally well in nursing courses and failed the NCLEX 2x because they were unprepared for how the questions were asked. So if you can sacrifice, and I mean SACRIFICE, the rest of your life up to the Nursing gods to do nothing but eat sleep and breathe nursing, you'll be just fine.

I read the NJguy comment about Trinitas Nursing School and I can identify myself with that experience. I would say "To be a Nurse you have to beg on your knees" there is brutally in-dignifying and psychologically abusive.
I will not let them take away my desire to be a good Nurse. I finished Nure 131.
I am interesting in getting transfer from Trinitas to Nuremberg If somebody have the experience about the transfer process and is able to help me with the info. I will appreciate it.

...sometimes "sacrifice" may mean you can get sick. "Caring" is not an example you see at Trinitas to be a Nurse you need to breath CARING. How is possible to "care" if you are treated the opposite way for 2 years and half?
