I work in a unionized hospital in nj, and I was suspended my manager for insubordination. I did not follow his/ her order because I am not adequately oriented r trained to perform as a scrub nurse for this particular surgeon. You think he or she should have me a verbal warning, and written warning before suspending me? I'm just protecting the safety of my patient

Have you spoken with your union rep? Reviewed your union contract for discipline steps? There is usually a specific step plan for discipline, especiallly in a unionized hospital.
