Hey everyone, my name is Nicole and I am hoping to be accepted into the Rutgers accelerated nursing program that begins this May/June. I would love to chat with anyone who is currently in the program or who is applying for entry into the program for 2013.

Here's a little about myself..I graduated from Rutgers in 2010 with a double major in biology and nutrition (3.7 GPA), and then went on to graduate school at UMDNJ where I studied Epidemiology (4.0 GPA). I am really hoping to be accepted into the Rutgers program, but am nervous because they only accept a small cohort of students. I've also applied to Seton Hall's ABSN program which is at Georgian Court, but Rutgers is my 1st choice.

I will be leaving for vacation tomorrow morning and will be out of the country until the 19th without internet access. Good luck to everyone at orientation tomorrow!!! Hope to see some of you at the alternate orientation on the 20th, and i'm looking forward to meeting everyone on the first day of classes :)

Bills and class schedules are available online now. I was placed in the afternoon section for labs 11:30-4. Anyone else???

Are you in the Newark or NB cohort? I am in the afternoon as well for Newark. It was nice getting to meet everyone at orientation and I can't wait for classes to start!!

Did you guys finish all the prereqs before applying?

@SweetDream For our cohort, we prereq's just had to be finished before starting the first semester. You could still be taking prereqs after applying. Not sure if it's still the same since the merger.

On the website it said after fall 2011, you have to complete it before applying

Hello

I found out i got accepted into Rutgers ABSN program for this Fall at Newark campus. I have a few questions and I was hoping if you could answer it for me. Which campus do you go to? What is the class size and professors like? Are you commuting or living at the dorms? From the class layout i see that there is a lot of classes during the 1st semester, is it manageable? Any other advices or suggestions to succeed in this program?

Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about your credentials, and what they've told you about the program so far? What was your undergrad GPA and where did you attend? Did you have jobs in the medical field before applying? What do you feel gave you the edge to get into the program? And about the program itself, when are the start and end dates for the fall cohort? What were the names of the courses you took in order to fulfill the Interpersonal Communications, Nutrition, and Life Span requirements? And any other information you may have for a Fall 2015 Newark hopeful?
