Psych Tech in NJ

  1. 0
    Hi Guys,

I am a licensed nurse from the Philippines who is currently residing in NJ. I am able to start processing my application to be licensed in the state. Since it is taking time, I am thinking of working as a psych tech. It is my dream to become a psychiatric nurse one day. Working as a psych tech, I believe, will give me valuable experience I need in the pursuit of my dream. Can anyone please tell me about the job? Is it dangerous? Do I need to have a license to be able to work? How much does a psych tech earn?

Thank you so much in advance.

Different hospitals have different requirements for psych techs. Some require bachelor's degree, some will hire nursing students or foreign nurses. Once again, try Mountainside Hosp.
