How is the job outlook for nurses in new jersey?

Both rn nurses with just a associate degree, and lpns? Will it be smart to take a cna course, and work as a cna, or that won't be necessary?

Unemployment is high and there is a lot of competition for few jobs as LPN, RN/ASN, and RN/BSN in NJ for both experienced and newly graduated nurses; similar to the rest of the NY/NJ/PA metropolitan area. If you look at the NJ Forum there are several threads of nurses looking for their first job.

However, since you are not yet a nurse things can change in a year or four depending on what type of program you choose to enter. Nothing is guaranteed in life, there may be plenty of jobs when you finish school.

Of note, some ASN program require entering students to have a CNA certification to enter the program.
