@ Supersage.. I did my research while I was in school. And like you, I thought I had it all figured out. Then I LIVED through it, which was entirely different. Not only me, but my entire graduating class has had an extremely hard time finding jobs as an entry level LPN. We all called the schools "career placement", but to no avail. They provided me with a list of craigs list ads(very helpful..NOT) looking for LPN's. I did kand a few interviews, I think that I interview really well. I was well dressed, prepared with all my documents, spoke well, even had great answers to difficult interview questions...but ultimately they all wanted someone with work experience. I am not trying to discourage you, I just want you to be aware that your goal of working by a certain time as an LPN may not be met. Best of luck. And to all of you...no matter what, you are furthering your knowledge and degree. So even if you too have a really hard time finding a job you are that much closer to being an RN so school will be a breeze.

Hey everyone!

I'm currently a student at CAN in the Hackensack area, and I can't speak for the Trenton location but as far as the Hackensack location I think they have a great program. The teachers are there to help and they have tutoring on Fridays if you need any help. For the tests and the exams, it all depends on how you study and if you know your stuff. Now I just didn't like how unorganized they are in the last couple of weeks close to finals, where we have like a quiz everyday but I mean if you've been doing good so far then you should be able to do fine. I'm a first trimester student! If anyone has any question, feel free to PM me! And after the first trimester you're eligible to take a test to be a CNA, if that's what you want. It doesn't hurt to be certified in something in case you might have to drop out later on.

Interview on Monday and I am freaking out....I just went over my papers and I just realized I didnt answer one question the easiest question and I dont know how to answer it lol Im freaking out...

Well just be honest! Umm I just wrote why I wanted to come to this school, how I found it and basically what I wanna do being an LPN! Don't worry you'll be fine and you'll be able to explain more of your answer in the interview, because they read your answers while they are interviewing you!

First trimester is 3 months. Second is 3 months and third is 6 months! That includes the NCLEX review month.
