Burlington County College Spring 2014

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hello,

Is anyone applying to Burlington County College for Spring 2014? Have you applied before? What pre-reqs do you currently have completed? I am getting a little nervous about the whole process. Just wondering if anyone else is applying and how you are feeling about the roller coaster ride we are getting ready to get on.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to order my name tags right away then. I'm not sure if I'm taking 103 yet. I want to make sure I have my nursing classes/all the supplies, uniform, etc paid for first. Let us know of any other info you get from your friend! It helps to have a heads up!

Ok great! Thank you so much for the info I will go to the school after work and order my name tags A.S.A.P. I am so excited I can't believe this is finally happening!:)

Hey everyone, December 2012 grad here. I just wanted to chime in on possible reasons for not getting accepted...Burlington County Residents get first dibs on the spots. If you live in another county this is a possible reason for being wait listed so it may not be your GPA after all...

ArmTwinRN,

I am totally confused about why i didnt get accepted and the only thing i could think of is my gpa because i am a burlington county resident. I really just hope that i get accepted for fall.

when did you send in your intent-to-enroll? I think they use that as a first come first serve ( when all requirements are fulfilled). I mailed mine out in the morning on Nov. 1st and I heard that many do the same. Maybe if you waited to mail that out, that could be it. But don't get discouraged, I'm sure you will get in for the fall.

I also sent my intent to enroll form out on November 1st in the morning so idk what else i can do differently to improve my chances in getting in except take another class to up my gpa a little bit.

I also wouldn't give up on the upcoming semester. I got in right away but my younger sister got wait listed and about a month later she was accepted! Not everyone that gets accepted actually starts the program...plans change...don't give up!

Thanks so much for the information i will try and keep my head up. Im not going to give up i worked way to hard to get to where i am now. I will keep you posted on everything and congradulations on graduating.

Camarogirl- it looks like another round of acceptance letters just went out. My friend just got one, although she might not take it due to another school. So stay positive! Anything can happen!

I am wondering about this NUR 103 class. Is this an optional class? I was told that it was mandatory and you had to get an A in the class. However then I was confused because as I understood it, it was an optional class and if you got an A in that class it really didn't matter, because what mattered was when you actually get in the program you have to take medication exam every semester and pass with an A. confused :banghead:

@ misskatherine830 HOPE THIS HELPS!

Medication Administration Policy

All students must pass a test on medication administrationprior to entering the second nursing course (NUR 120).The Medication Administration test must be taken no morethan 12 months prior to entering the nursing program.A student must pass the test with a grade of 90% or greaterwithin three attempts. If unsuccessful within three attempts, the student cannot continue in, nor be readmitted into theBCC nursing program.

administration course (NUR 103) is offered duringSummer 1 and 2 and January intercessions.

There are two opportunities to take the test by independentstudy during the first nursing course, NUR 119. The nurs-ing program does not offer tutoring to take this test inde-pendently.

To help students prepare for the test, an elective medication

The textbook is available for purchase in the CollegeBookstore.

Yes this helps, guess I will be signing up for Nur 103 in January.
