Burlington County College Fall 2009?

U.S.A. New Jersey

Just wondering if anyone else is applying to Burlington County College for Fall 2009?

Also, I would be curious to hear from current students as to what they think of the program.

Has anyone else heard that BCC is requiring more pre req such as Intro to Philo? I heard they changed the list this month? Any insights on it???

I just went online and looks like they just added it to the requirements. Great, now I have to see if I can get that in this summer cause I had everything else done. I hope this doesn't mess up my chances to get in for Spring 2010!

I read this and was in a panic. I am starting the nursing program this sept 09 and realy do not want to take more classes. I just spoke with Pat in the nursing office and she said if you are starting in Sept or spring 2010 you do not have to take those classes. They are for new applying students and replace computers and an elective.

panic was what I was feeling-so THANKS for the info that I don't have to take it (if I get in for Spring 2010 like I am hoping, anyway!). Wierd they would replace computers with that?! Anyway, what a relief-good luck in the Fall :)

Hi all! I'm a current bcc evening program nursing student going into NUR 120 this fall, anyone else? To all the newcomers I would suggest that u get your syllabus as early as possible use the list of required books and order your books online (try amazon) because they are really expensive at the book store, once u receive your books u should start reading your fundamentals right away and make notes, that way once school starts u just have to review your notes..otherwise u r gonna feel overwhelmed with all the reading and u can't fall behind either since u have to make sure u get that 80 or above on all your tests.. there's also a free podcast in itunes that u can listen to its on the f.a. davis fundamentals book but they still have same info as our books, u can listen to the chapter overviews while u do errands or drive..it helps.. sorry this message was so long, I hope its helpful..good luck to u all and congrats!

Hey I wanted to ask all of those in the program what I should expect? I already finished my prereqs and coreqs and am waiting on a response from BCC for the Spring 2011 program. (I am very anxious!!) I would like to work part time while in the program to pay the bills i need to pay. (Probably about 20 hours a week) Do you think thats possible? How are the teachers? Any info would be appreciated!!

I think 20 hours a week would be ok, the attendance is very strict, you can not miss more than 4 lectures, or 2 labs or 2 clinicals. Nur 119 was an adjustment but if you do what you are supposed to, you will make it through just fine. I got this book and it was a huge help: http://www.amazon.com/Fundamentals-Success-Applying-Critical-ebook/dp/B0026IUP72/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&s=digital-text&qid=1284433837&sr=8-3
