Scholarships from Hospitals ?

by DaddyO

Hello,

Not sure if this is far fetched....but have you ever heard of someone being admitted to a nursing program and then going to a particular hospital or facilty to see if there are any scholarships offered with the intent of working for the hospital upon graduation for X amount of years ?

Someone suggested this to me....but it seems you would have to be currently working in some capacity.

Thanks !

Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury will give a $10,000 scholarship to a current nursing student who maintains a 2.8GPA throughout nursing school provided they work for UMH for 24 months upon graduation.

Our Lady or Lourdes in Camden will give a $10,000 scholarship to a current nursing student with a 2.5GPA upon enrollment provided they work for OLOL for 12 months upon graduation.

Cooper University Hospital in Camden has an affiliation with Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Blackwood as well as UMDNJ School of Nursing in Camden. Scholarships in turn for employment upon graduation.

I hope this helps you out.....good luck DaddyO.
