I am a nursing student on the New Brunswick campus, but we share many of the same faculty. I think the program is great. Many of the faculty are high quality educators (while there are some that are not as effective). It's hard work, but the faculty are very dedicated to the students.

They want to make sure you know your skills and critical thinking.

There have been changes occurring, which results in more disorganization and lack of communication. We do, however, feel very comfortable approaching faculty and administration to "vent."

Good luck!

Please send me any questions regarding the admission. I am currently attending Rutgers College of Nursing, and I would love to answer as many quetions as you have.
For the GPA, I would strongly recommend you to have above 3.5, more likley 3.7~3.9.
Starting Fall 2010, Nursing is going to be a more difficult due to economic recession. I can't tell you all the reasons because I am not suppose to tell you. But, it is going to be more competitive starting next year or the year after. And, combine score of math and reading should be above 1200 like 650 on Reading, and 650 on math.
Remember, this is not the only thing they look at. They will look at your level of academic performances like if you have been taking AP or Honors classes. I didn't understand why nursing didn't really like the fact that when students had a lot of AP classes that replace some courses because they really wanted you to take their nursing classes.

I graduated from Rutgers University College of Nursing two years ago. I attended the New Brunswick campus. Even as a NB student, I had to go up to Newark a couple times a year for different programs, tests, etc. Rutgers has a great program. Upon graduation, I felt very prepared to enter the real world. RU CON really helps you develop your critical thinking skills, and I believe that overall, the quality of the faculty is outstanding! I would highly recommend RU's nursing program to anyone looking!

Hay I have a question. I have my associates in nursing from essex county college and my RN license. I will be attending Kean in the Spring but I want to transfer to rutgers in FALL 2010...will rutgers accept all of my already started "RN-BSN" credits from Kean? I didn't want to wait all the way until next fall to begin so I just wanted to go to Kean first and then transfer over in the fall to rutgers while I am taking the "required courses"

However I have a questionm will rutgers rn-bsn program accept some of the courses I have already taken at Kean when and if I go to Kean? please help me out cause I'm in such a dilemna! thanks
