I have been interviewed only once and it was at RBMC last week. It went very well according to the recruiter but I haven't recieved any call yet, I am hoping for a call. I was asked a lot of different questions like, can you explain evidence base practice etc. Good luck to you and keep me posted. I hope we can both get jobs with them.

I have an interview next week.

What floor did you interview for? Let me know how it goes for you and I will do the same. Good Luck, hopefully at least one of us can get lucky.

I interviewed for the scu-tele floor last thursday. Brush up on your critical thinking skills. I was asked and given a lot of scenarios. You will be given an opportunity to ask questions. You may want to prepare good questions like what is the patient to nurse ratio on the floor you interviewing for etc. The recriuter was very nice. May I ask which floor you interviewing for. Good luck again.

Yeah definitely. I am interviewing with the Center for Living, which is their psych floor.

I talked with the nurse recruiter, and she told me they usually only hire new grads on the psych floor. Especially new grads like me, with no experience except nursing school. RBMC seems like a great place to get your foot in the door because it is a magnet hospital and part of the RWJ health network.

Thanks for any heads up about the interview process, this is my first interview for a nurse position so I am really nervous.

You welcome, that sounds right because when I interviewed, the only two positions that was available was the position that I interviewed for and the one that you are intervewing for. She gave me the option to chose and I took the tele position because I am a cardiac person. It will be my first nursing job as well. We will keep in touch with each other and encourage each other as well.

Just curious...I recently applied at Raritan Bay Medical Center and I was wondering how long did it take for the recruiters to contact you

This is the first time that they have contacted me, I applied for the position on the 3rd and they called to schedule an interview yesterday. I really like their website because they have a section where you can check your application status. I had a couple apps that were routed to hiring managers but nothing ever came of it and this last position it said interview planned and then the next day they called?

Are you a new grad? What position did you apply for? I was told by the nurse recruiter that they do hire new grads and that they website is updated weekly so to keep checking.

Oh to check your application status you just sign in with your user name and password and then there is a tab at the top.

Good Luck!!
