OPT-green card question


Hi
I am a nursing student in south jersey. I am graduating this summer. I recently applied for my opt and I am looking for any information on hospitals that sponsor greean cards in the NJ or PA area.

The OPT and the green card require two completely different things. For the OPT, you do not need petitioning, but for the green card you do. You will find some employers that will hire you with the OPT, but will not handle your petition.

Please be aware that they are not one and the same, when dealing with immigration issues.

Try to contact nurse recruiters in St. Barnabas Health care system, they do sponsor green card for foreing nurses. They have a big chain of hospitals in New Jersey, I am sure you will be hired by one of them.
