nurses on MAFB or Ft Dix, NJ

I'm an RN looking to change careers. I looking to find info on civilian nursing jobs at the Ambulatory Health Care Clinic or at Walson. I grew up and worked in the area and miss the great people you meet. However, I have not been on base since 2004. I have heard that there are good things that will be coming to the area in the near future. Especially, with the BRAC of FT.Dix, I heard Walson has even re-opened and is being used for troop deployment screenings. Please direct me in the right direction, for these jobs are never posted. Thank you, in advance!

You would need to get in touch with the Civilian Hiring Office at McGuire. The clinic there does employ a few civilian RN's It is a GS [government service]position. The base operator at McGuire could possibly help you with the number. You will need to know that when the military has a down day, i.e. the active duty people do not work you will have to take your vacation time, same with holidays the military does not work, you have to use your vacation time. Just something you may want to consider. Hope this helps
