If you attend CCM?

I am currently enrolled in a program in PA. There is a chance I may move back to NJ which will totally suck b/c you can't transfer NS in most places (at least the clinical portion). I would have to reapply, redo portions of clincials most likely.

I am wondering though if anyone at CCM could tell me if they would accept A&P or Micro as transfer credits from another school. For me they were prereqs to the nursing program and I took them within the last year.

I love this area of NJ but hope I don't have to move, at least not until I am done with NS!

HI,
I had actually called and asked that about an A & P I class from another community college and they had told me if its the same name and same amount of credits with a lab they would 99% probably accept it and she said if i could give her the class and school she would check. So I suggest you call the school and ask specifically for that class. I don't know how its works with the letter grade transferring I don't think they add into your gpa. Hope that helps.

They will as long the as the description is the same. CCM actually has lecture with dissection lab for A&P 1 and 2. If you had A&P without this you may have to take lab at CCM. Same with Microbiology. These classes were very hard at CCM-I hope you can use the ones previously taken.

I believe you need to have the description of your classes from the catalog, and they must be brought to the head of the department for clearance and an ok. I would call ahead and verify with admissions. They are very helpful.

Good luck.

Thanks so much for the advice ladies. I guess it is one of those things I won't know for certain 100% until/if I apply, but it is nice to know that they will accept a comparable class.

Thanks again!

hi.......i will be graduating from the CCM nursing program in may. All my transfer credits were accepted when i applied. CCM has a great program with great faculty. i believe one of the faculty from the day program sits on the nj board of nursing. I feel very well prepared to enter the job market, even tho it seems to be rough in new jersey right now. Good luck!
