gloucester county college

Question, I am about to receive my associates in arts and sciences at GCC this spring. I would like to try to apply for the Nursing - General Track in Spring of 08. I only have a couple of courses that I would have to take for this curriculum with the exception of the nursing courses, of course.
Does anyone know if there is a waiting list? If so, how long is it.
Also, I know they try to keep things under wraps, but what is the actual NET scores etc that I need to shoot for to compete?

Thanks any help is appreciated.

Hi futurenjnurse,

I completed the nursing program at GCC in 2003. I am going to speak to this year's graduating class next week.

I don't know if there is currently a waiting list. I believe they require a NET composite min. 65 and reading comprehension of 65. If you go the school website, they should have a link for the nursing selective admission packet on the homepage. In addition, you should sign up for an information session if you have not already done so. This session is required as part of the admission process and they will answer all of your questions.

You might also want to take all of the non-nursing courses prior to entering the program.

Good luck to you!

Hey futurenurse,

I am scheduled to graduate in 2 short weeks!@!!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOO

from GCC. We are doing our Transition to Practice right now. I have two 12-hour shifts under my belt, and just 4 more shifts to go. I am at Kennedy Wash Twp in the ICU. It is awesome, scarey, but I loved every minute of the 24 hours I have been there so far.

The GCC program was good. At times I wanted to pull my hair out. Stay on top of things. Work hard and you will be successful.

Best wishes,
Kim
