I think this move is reflective Seton Hall's NCLEX low pass rate. Many ADN and Diploma programs make sure each student has a high probability of passing the NCLEX by administering review tests. Performance on these tests are predictive of a candidate's ability to pass the NCLEX.

If I remember correctly, consistent low pass rates will affect a school's accreditation.

Some of the comments made me cringe. The article didn't really provide any context about the test, nor did it explore those percentages at all. So to the average person, a 75% sounds like a "C" and no one wants to think that a bunch of "C" nurses are taking care of them. At one school I am familiar with, students are required to get an 87% on the HESI exit exam before the school will let them graduate. Ouch.
