Considering Schools in Middlesex County

Hi everyone...

I'm new to the forums - looking at starting schooling this fall, and would like to find out some feedback on options in Middlesex County.

I know Middlesex County College has a program with UMDNJ... is there a long waiting period? Does anyone have an opinion of it?

Are there other programs close to this area (I live in Piscataway) which you guys would recommend? How about the waiting times?

Thanks in advance for any info!!!

sorry - just realized I should have clarified a bit ...

I'm transitioning from the telecom/management field and am interested in either going with the LPN or RN programs

i'm graduating from the umdnj/mcc program in december

i got in first try but i've heard of people waiting several semesters to get in... last figure, since they did away with the night program, was 40 applicants out of 600 each semester.

i've also heard we're being bought out by charles e gregory (out of raritan bay in perth amboy and old bridge) in the "near" future

but who knows

i like this program and i especially enjoy the tuition

I'm currently taking pre-req's in Middlesex. I applied and didn;t make it. NLN test was a bit hard for me. I guess if you do really well...you'll get in. I took the test couple of months ago. They said 1000 applicants are competing for 40 seats!!! I applied to so many places...till now I've only gotten bad feedback. I just finished undergoing an interview for a nursing school in staten island. I don't care about the commute..just want to get in!

Forgot to mention there are no prereques. You need to take the nursing entrance test and an interview. I also started my prereques before and then found out how long waiting lists were for RN so I decided to get my LPN quick(15months) then do the transition

Hi I know that you posted this a long time ago. But I applied to MCC for Fall '08 and I was wondering what you think helped you to get in to the program. I hope that you get this message.

Thanks
