In New Jersey, do you have to apply for a temporary license before you take the NCLEX like in PA? Thanks

NJ does not issue a temporary license.

Correct, no temp permit.

See NJ Nursing: Board of Nsg, Schools, Nsg Assoc, NCLEX scores, License info etc for license info.

Not true, many facilities offer graduate nurse positions. Basically you work under a nurse doing nursing duities (with exceptions) until you pass NCLEX. You also don't make as much as a nurse, but you still make decent money.

To answer your question best. I have a license in FL, NJ, and OH. Just renew your licenses on time. You can be licensed in all 50 states at the same time.
