Anyone work at Monmouth Medical Center or JSUMC?

by SteveRN21 Staff

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone works at Monmouth Medical Center or Jersey Shore University Medical Center.... I am looking at some positions closer to home, and was wondering what the pay, benefits and working conditions are, particularly in the ERs and NICU/PICUs....

Anyone?

I've worked at Jersey Shore. The ER is standing-room only. Very busy. Great experience because it's a trauma center. Does lots of advanced procedures. Great cardiac experience.

Monmouth is good, too. Never worked there but worked at their fellow hospitals, Kimball and Community. Don't hear anything bad about them thru the grapevine. Monmouth does pedi psych and lots of advanced procedures, because lots of doc in those areas are nearby.

Benefits, pay, basically the same for both. Both companies offer lots of training, tuition reimbursement, room to move and grow.

Good luck!

I worked in the NICU at Jersey Shore - loved it. Left to get off night shift.

I've been told that there are very difficult personalities and "cliques" at Monmouth in the NICU.

The pedi ER at Jersey Shore is supposed to be good...
