LNA or CNA during school?

  1. 0
Hi, just curious if a lot of people end up leaving their current jobs and working as a CNA or LNA while in school for their RN? Does having that experience really help you get a job when you graduate as an RN? and is it mostly nursing homes that will hire the CNA or LNA? That's one area I don't think I want to be....
Thanks in advance for any responses!

YESYESYES work as a LNA! The job situation is AWFUL for new grad nurses and the only girls I know in NH with a RN job right out of school are the girls that worked as LNAs in hospitals. It is the one thing I wish I had done differently, as I worked as a LNA but with a home health agency and they will not take me.

Do you know how much they were making as LNA's in the hospital?
