When to apply? New Grad RN

Hi everyone!

Quick question. When should I start applying for jobs if I am due to graduate in May 2010? Do they open up new grad positions in December time period or later? Will they hire without NCLEX if I'm still a student? I was an army medic for 5 years so I'm hoping this helps me. Thanks!!!
