Hello, folks. I have seen a lot of DEMN students/grads on these boards and hope you can clarify something. If you're a recent or current student, you might be able to help.
I attended the info session in May 2009 and wrote down specifically (either from the student presenter or one of the professors) that I would be on campus 2 days a week, home doing online courses 2 days a week, and in clinicals one day a week the first semester. This seemed to be supported by the Time and Room schedule for Spring 2009. I was comparing the 2-year and 3-year tracks, and it seemed that the actual difference in the 3-year track was that one day I'd be able to go home earlier (on a day I would already be driving up there), and I'd have one online class instead of 2.
However, when I went to my interview, the interviewers seemed surprised that this was my impression of the schedule, and they said on the 2-year track, I would be on campus 3-4 days a week depending on whether I was in the sim lab or at an actual care facility. It would seem that I'd go from 4 days a week on campus to 3 days plus a day of clinicals at some point.
I am not really that concerned either way; it will be what it is. I just would like to know what my weeks are going to look like for the first semester (and when the online work is going to get done--good thing I'm a night owl!). Any information would be appreciated!
On tenterhooks waiting to hear back...
