Applying to GBCC

by Betty09

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some insight into applying to Great Bay- I was under the impression that A&P I and II were part of the program and not prerequisites, but the impression that I got from an admissions counselor was that I need to have these done before I apply?

Any information from anyone who applied, or is attending, regarding the admissions process would be greatly appreciated (regarding test scores, background, etc.) Thanks!

You don't need to have them done but if you do, it looks really, really good!

Having those done will give you an extra 20pts on your admissions, usually the difference between a direct acceptance and a waitlist acceptance. So yes, directly they are part of the course outline, indirectly, they are prerequisites. Does that make sense? Are you taking A&P now? If not, at least get started on them! It's not really something you want to do while you're in nursing school, b/c the instructors at GBCC will kick your butt in the nursing program, and A&P itself, if you want to do well, is going to be about 15 hours a week of studying. BTW, I go there now, and I am in the program, so if you have any questions.... Good luck!
