Register Today!- Jul 30, '12 by Twinkle toezQuote from dwoffordI'm curious to know this too. I want both the books and e-books.Does anyone know if there is a difference between buying the book bundle at CSN and just purchasing online at Amazon? I know that CSN offers the ebooks with theirs but Amazon's price is about $180 less for brand new books. I purchased the bundle today but might return it and just buy the books online instead.
- Jul 30, '12 by SunshineDaisyThe only thing you'll miss is the pageburst and the evolve passcode things.
- Jul 30, '12 by dwoffordAre those things really helpful to have? Also, there were many listed on the recommended books. Does anyone know which ones would be helpful to have for first semester? I don't want to buy all of them recommended ones but will buy some of them if they are helpful for learning the material and studying for upcoming exams.
- Jul 30, '12 by SunshineDaisyI never really use page burst except when I had to cite things. I did use evolve because you can do quizzes from the chapters that are NCLEX style. but if you get an NCLEX book you should be fine. The only extra things I bought were the study guides, they were helpful to me. some of the best books I have bought and used are the Made incredibly easy books and the Review and Rationales books!

Thank you. I think I will keep the books from the bookstore and order the study guides. I will also check out the made incredibly easy books. I had some of those for A&P. They are good books. -
- Jul 31, '12 by deni_anCan someone give me an exact run down of our clinical attire? I was at orientation and I took notes but I really don't want to lose points for something stupid.
Some specific questions:
Shoes - do they have to be 100% white? What if they have an off-white/grey stripe or something? Do the soles have to be white too?
Socks - can we wear short ankle length ones or do they have to be long?
What are we allowed to wear under our scrub top?
Watch - I'm having a hard time finding a watch, most of them I see in stores are really big and colorful. Do the watches need to be small and neutral colored?
Thanks! - Jul 31, '12 by SunshineDaisyMy first semester clinical teacher said shoes had to be 75% white. Your 3rd week you will wear your uniform to ACE and your teacher will inspect it for you. My soles on my first pair of shoes were black, and my teacher never said anything. I have worn ankle socks and no one said anything. They don't usually look that close. You can wear any type of white/neutral shirt under your top. I just wear white tank tops. My watch is black. I have seen students wear pink, purple, orange, white, black. As long as it's analog and has a second hand the teachers don't care.
