Hi all, wondering if anyone is applying to the nursing program at UNLV for spring 2014? This kills me to ask; but if so, how many points do you have and what makes you want to be a nurse? Good luck to all those hopeful nurses out there☺☺☺

Debit or credit is fine (it just can't be cash since you will be paying for everything online during your first orientation). I wish I could remember exactly but I think the background check was 50.00 and the scrubs were 100, I believe. At least for last semester. I heard they may be getting a deal for cheaper scrubs though! :). They give you a form to do your TB test free. They also give you a list of places to get CPR certified and get a physical. I went to a location on the list in Henderson, the physical was about 45 and the cpr certification was 50 I believe. :D Hope this helps!

Sorry Emmm, I forgot to put in my post how much it cost. The background/drug test was $94.something. The scrubs end up being around $150 (a few dollars more if you choose the ones with more pockets) if you order the 3 pairs they recommend plus lab coat. You can order less or more if you choose. Congrats again!!

Yea i could not remember the exact prices! haha! I think kzato12 was more accurate xD. As far as the scrubs I purchased one through online (they are just way too expensive) and bought extras from a scrub store (scrubs and beyond). The ones we purchase online are the brand "Dove" and those are required in the hospital. As far as for class we can wear any pair of red scrubs. All have to have the patches. :)

Congrats emmmgrace!! No you don't have to dress up. You're gonna be fitting some scrubs so you'll know your size and sign some paperworks. Plus the infos they're gonna tell you. How many people are in your signing session btw?

Nice meeting you here Karina! :D I have a question actually! For the books did you buy it separately somewhere online or did you buy it in the bookstore as a bundle? I'm trying to look ways to save money for this coming level 1 semester so yeah let me know!

Has anyone bought their white shoes? If you have do they have to be all white or can they have a tiny bit of color on them? I found some good white sneakers but they have like 2 dots of color. Idk how strict they are about the color of your shoes.
