I just graduated in May and passed the NCLEX in June. I have been looking for a job since then, which I know isn't that long! But, I would really love to hear any tips or advice you all have for a new grad looking for her first RN job! I really want to work in Peds, PICU, or Peds ER but I am aware that may mean I need to put in some time in med-surg first, which I am ok with if it gets me to my final goal! Any advice out there for me or those in the same situation? Has anyone come across any new grad positions in Las Vegas recently?

I have copied & pasted this from another person I wrote this for:
I have literally moved to Henderson from California 3 weeks ago and have already found a job. We have no experience which is why we have to be open to other things rather than a hospital. I have applied to hospitals too of course, but I got a job at a Sub Acute facility. The DON told me that the new graduates get experience and get into a hospital much easier than with no experience. I suggest looking into a Sub Acute/Skilled Nursing facility and maybe in a year look into the hospital setting.
