    It's supposed to be 2010 and this nursing hiring "freeze" (well i think anyway) is really discouraging. I came from the Phils and volunteered as an RN, (thus they consider me as a new grad) and now Im here but it has been almost a year and there is no good hope for the new RN's to get a job soon; although there has been a lot of job postings for RN's (i suppose non- new grad?)

    Any progress for anybody?

    It's difficult to get a new grad job here. Especially if you did not graduate locally. Alot of places are hiring experienced critical care nurses. The ones that are hiring new grads are taking the ones that did their senior preceptorships with them or had local recommendations. I would try home healthcare.
