I am currently a Med/Surg RN in LA, working for a health system that has a facility in Vegas. I am considering moving to Vegas in mid/late 2018 and are wondering what the patient ratios and current pay rates are. If the ratios are still 6-7 patients, I may just send my family and commute between Vegas and my current job.
I have an ASN, but are working on an MSN. I enjoy floor nursing and aren't looking to change paths, yet.
Please advise and thanks in advance.

Depends on which hospital you work at in Las Vegas and how many years experience you have for pay rates.
Out of the 15 or so hospitals in town, 3 of them (to my knowledge) have a union that pays better and usually protects ratios.
6-7 patients for med/surg night shift is not uncommon in most hospitals in LV.
