Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)

Thanks so much for your support. It meant a lot because I have wanted to cry all night and I am NOT a cryer! LOL! Just hope we don't have an exam in one after being in lecture all morning...I am really nervous about that. I am not sure which class we have our dosages and calculations in but I want to be able to review right before....Anyhow...maybe I will see you! Thanks

Lab generally doesn't have exams per se. You will need to go in prepared with all of your reading and videos completed ahead of time and these can be time consuming and don't think you can let these slide because if you show up unprepared for lab you get a 3% deduction. And there are some assignments that have to be filled out ahead of time, but the time is generally spent practicing new skills. Yes, you are assessed on skills but it's not like a lecture exam. For example, you may be learning about vital signs in lecture, the lab before lecture or after lecture may also cover that subject, it varies. This week was the head to toe assessment in lab and in lecture we covered fluids and electrolytes. They don't always line up. I wouldn't stress too much about having them on the same day. It will make for a long day especially on lecture exam days, but it's the end of the world.

Thanks for the info. I'm not worried about having things done before lab or lecture as I always do that. I was mainly worried about it being a long day and absorbing information all day. But, I will make it work!!!! Thanks for the support.

Oh, I don't know why..I think I need a new activation code

Maybe you need to change something in your account settings?

I understand your concerns about lab and lecture back to back, but lab is fun! it doesn't even feel like work, ya know? And they do give you breaks in lecture and lab. It'll be fine :)

Has anyone been able to register for 101 or Pharm?

My schedule is like this:

lecture TH 12-1450 with -------

Clinical W 0645-1245 Staff

Lab M 14-1650 -----------

Pharm W 1730-1930 --------------

I'm also registered for the 285 classes

What time did you pick for 285 and what clinical section do you have? I have clinical at that time too but I still can't register :/

Ahhh thanks so much!!! I appreciate your feedback!!! makes me relax more.

You are going to love ---------! She is such a crack up! I have her for OB and she makes me laugh :D

And it's no problem! I know how scary and intense it is, but it is fun too. In every class, minus mental health, I have had fun! It's scary when you go to clinical and you are with a pt alone for the first time, but once you know what you are doing it's like second nature! You get in a groove and just know. And learning the skills is fun as well!
