Also, please post you all nurses name on the wall so we all know who everyone is! :D

Hi! You need to create a group not a community. The community setting is very open and anyone can read posts while group is moderated and you don't want to get in trouble with HIPAA and other privacy stuff.

Ok the new and improved (closed) group has been created! It's called CSN Nursing 2013-2014. I'm not really sure how you can add yourself though :/ everyone is welcome! Even if you're not in the spring '13 class :)

done so

You won't need 26 books! You'll need your 101 book, 125 book, drug guide, care plan book, diagnostic book, Jarvis, the nutrition book and I think that's all I used. some of them will be used for other semesters as well. Oh, and the APA style guide too.

You will use most every book of the required list those come in the bundle. The recommended books are just that, recommendations. There are also a few that don't come in the bundle, but are required the APA documentation guide is one. (Although I've made it through using citation machine and Perla for formatting my papers.). PM me with your list & ill tell u exactly what I've had to use.

The shoes are your individual clinical instructor's preference. Ours had to be completely white and Ron won't be teaching 101 next semester.

Working. I am fortunate that my spouse is the bread winner at my house and I don't "have" to work. I thank my lucky stars everyday for this. I personally could not work through the FT program. The FT program IS full time.

I do have small children and that is a HUGE challenge. It I a constant struggle to balance studying/time away with being present for them at home, school & sports, but it is manageable.

I know several people that intended on working part time to keep their foot in the door or to have the benefits & income. ALL of them reevaluated in the first month and only one of them chose to continue but their grades reflect it. With that said I have HEARD of others that are managing work but I don't know them. I don't say this to scare anyone. I just want you to have plan b in the back of your head if it doesn't work for you. It's much too expensive & time consuming to get accepted & to have to drop.

As far as working...I know a few people who work PT, and even then they have still cut back at work. If you can cut back I would. The time commitment is big. It's hard to balance everything and maintain that 75%!

I was lucky enough to be able to take a leave of absence at my job and they will keep my insurance going as long as I pay what normally comes out of my check. I'm only doing that for the first few months (as of now, it's approved from the first day of school through spring break) But unfortunately I can't stay away from work forever especially because I receive no financial aid. Once the leave is over I will probably work very limited hours-just enough to pay for gas and food. I did plan ahead financially and I have been saving up for this new endeavor. Hopefully it will all work out. But I too am worried about the finances. The first semester is scaring the crap out of me between books & supplies :/
