Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)

Two nights ago I couldn't sleep because I was filled with anxiety and my heart was pounding. Tonight I can't sleep because I can't wipe this smile off of my face and my phone is blowing up with congrats calls/texts. I'm so incredibly happy right now. Two people at work asked me what's going on because I was "glowing". What an awesome day! I'll be enjoying my weekend for sure! :D

We can all change our status now to nursing students now!!! Yeah for us!

I wonder if we will be able to pick our classes for our first semester before the mandatory orientation? I am able to enroll for Spring on November 2nd. Is anyone taking the tool box class?

You have to go to the first orientation and then at second orientation is when you can sign up for classes. They make you draw a number when you arrive at the second orientation and then you go in that order to sign up for classes. The classes are clumped together. If you take Nurs 101 on Monday, that class comes with what ever day of clinical and etc. At least that was the way it was back in 2011. :) Enjoy your time and don't stress about that yet! :)

I changed my status here and on facebook last night :)

I don't think they let you pick the 101 classes until orientation since that is by lottery (I think) but maybe for pharm we can? Maybe I will call the nursing dept and ask.

I am taking the toolbox...the 1st half is actually under registration for fall 12 since the class is split due to winter break. I already registered for that one and I picked the 4pm class.

I am going to take the tool box too, but not sure which time yet. I still have my other classes I have to plan around until the semester ends.

First semester classes won't be available for registration till after second orientation. Even Pharm was not available till after second orientation because everything is based on which nurs101 class you take since your nurs 101 dictates most of your other days of clinical and lab. You can always take lectures on line but it depends on your learning style. Personally, I like the classroom. :) I do wish I had taken the tool box because they help with dosage math and care plans. If you have time, I think the tool box class can def be a huge help. I am contemplating about signing up. Books are crazy expensive.... I shopped at amazon the first time but they are all out dated, I'm sure. So, I will have to repurchase... Yuck!

I am sure they will let us know more about the classes and the signing up process at the mandatory orientation. I just signed up for the tool box class. No books for this one, but I am sure things are going to get pricey real soon! I also have to start looking at my vaccinations... I am going to have to have the chicken pox vaccination. :barf02:

I can't find the tool box course...how were you able to pull it up?

Go to MyCsn and enroll there. Search for Nurs 285.
