csn nursing fall 2014 alternate question/tip/opinion!

Hi guys! so I am recently an alternate for the nursing program for fall 2014. After the first nursing orientation, some of the alternates get a call if they're in the program or not.

Well I also did get a call, but they told me that I wasn't part of the people who got into the regular track. But I am currently on top of the list to be eligible for the regular track in case someone else drops. But the thing is that there are no alternates for the part time/extended track and they told me that I could be in it.

What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and take it? Or just wait for another person to drop so I could be in the regular track? One of the things I consider is that if I do accept the part-time, I could just go ahead and transfer to full-time after the first semester, but only if other people drop or fail the program. But that is no guarantee. But at the same time, there is also no guarantee that people will drop before the semester starts so I could take their spot for the full-time track.

What do you guys think? If you guys are in my shoes, would you take it? Or would you wait?

I need your answers by tomorrow. Thanks guys! I appreciate the help! :)

I'm not in the program but if I were you I would do what you can now. Take the part time and hope that something opens up now or next semester. Better than not accepting it and nothing opening up leaving you in the same position you were six months ago. Atleast you'll have your foot in the door and some experience will be gained.

you're absolutely right. I should just grab the opportunity presented to me instead of letting it go and I might not even make it to the full time one. thank you so much :)
