Where to work (or not) in Las Vegas?

Greetings--
My wife (also a RN) and I are considering moving to Las Vegas in the next year. My question to you all who work there: is there a hospital(s) we should actively pursue or, on the other hand, steer clear from when looking for employment?

Thanks for your time.

I volunteer at St. Rose and, being that I am going into NS I ask as many nurses and other staff if they enjoy the hospital and what they would recommend to me. I haven't had one person say anything bad. They have some bad stuff (not venting to me, just say they would steer clear of) about a few others. One nurse told me that they have recently gone union, as have all the other hospitals, so they all must come up to speed to be able to compete with each other. If I work in Vegas before I move (after graduation) I will be keeping St Rose in the front of the line. Not sure about pay.

Yes, I have to agree with Woogy. I interviewed with them a few months ago and was very impressed. I also dug a little deeper to find out their true reputation, and found no negatives. I spoke with some travellers who said that it was a great working environment. St. Rose is in Henderson - just outside of Vegas

The Good:
Mountainview, St Rose Dominican, Healthsouth (a acute care rehab)

The Bad:
Valley Hospitals

The Ugly:
UMC

St. Rose is an awesome environment to work in, but that is because it is a private hospital. UMC is a large hospital that is extremely understaffed, but that is because it is the only Trauma 1 center, and it is Charleston which is near the "bad" side of town. The hospital gets quite a bit of homeless and those without insurance because it is a public hospital. I wouldn't be discouraged from working there though. Its a great place to work, and although you will have to work hard, it is well worth it.
