Valley Hospital Adopt A Student Program


I was reading about the Valley Hospital Adopt a Student program in which they pay for your tuition in exchange for certain amount of years of working for them..anyone know any more information?

you may want to conact the valley health system. they are not hiring as many new grads as they did in the past, so they may not be offering it as often as they did. i know you have to commit for 2 years. good luck and keep us posted on what you hear !!

I called and asked about this. The program has been "put on hold". That is according to HR at Valley.

i thought as much , it's hard to get a job at the valley health system as a new grad these days. i know they fired alot of new grad RN's and fired alot LPN's at desert springs a few months back. the new grad jobs are just not as plentiful as hey use to be. a friend of mine sister just graduated from RN school and had to get a job in a nursing home because she couldn't get a job in a hospital. she was snapped up right away in a nursing home.

i don't believe UMC is hiring anyone at this time. las vegas is feeling the hit of the ecomony thats for sure.

Well thats scary... I mean I just got word that I was accepted into the nursing program and was overjoyed. This worries me now...

i pray the ecomony will pick up . i just know if you get a nursing job in vegas.. hold on tight to it.. maybe by the time you graduate it will get better here. i'm sure there is a job out there for you when you graduate !! don't give up !!
