Mountainview

Hey all,

I am looking to make a move to Vegas later this year. Does anybody have any insight into Sunrise and Mountainview for ICU? I've heard some things from travels who were though there a couple of years ago and the view was mixed.

Anything folks could offer here would be great.

Thanks

I worked in Mountain View ICU during my senior clinicals and preceptorship...The patient load is decent (1-2), the coworkers are great, and the facility gets everything but traumas. I think Mt. View is a level 3 trauma center.

Sunrise is a level 1, so they get the traumas along with UMC. The nurse to patient ratio is more than Mt. View. That is all I know about Sunrise.

Both are paper charting.

Jedi, I can't figure out how to reply to your message you sent me, so I will just post a message right here. Mt. View has a mix of medical surgical patients, including open heart surgeries. There are three different pods, each one has a different type of patient...Like pod 1 is the most acute with vents, pod 2 is contact precaution patients, and pod 3 has the least acute patients. Each pod has 12-13 beds. I hope this helps...
