I'm interested in Sunrise hospital, specifically their ICU's, with the exception of their Pulmonary and Neuro ICU's. I'm at St. Rose right now, in ICU, and I'm not really into it, so to speak. My husband says I'm miserable and that I should just quit. It's a tough decision to make. I've been at St. Rose since 2002: first as a Nurse Apprentice for 2 years, then as an RN. St. Rose has a decent benefits package, and even though I'm not too happy in their ICU right now, I can say that at least I have a decent rapport with the nurses there. I'm not sure why I'm so unhappy there.
I'm not looking for "greener grass", I think mainly it's probably time for a change. A lot of times I get tired of working like a dog, but what nurse doesn't...and from what I understand, Sunrise ICU's are very busy. Any information on Sunrise would be great. What are the benefits like? How about the teamwork of staff members? What's the management like? Charge nurses? ANYTHING you can think of, I want to hear it.
I'm just nervous. I love my manager at St. Rose. I know the system: charting, I've made a network of friends: ancillary staff, nurses, etc. I have a good rapport with many of the MD's, and so on. Given all of that, I'm just not happy. Come on, tell me about Sunrise.
