i graduated from CSN when it was CCSN i went into the LPN to RN bridge program, i was accepted first try. LPN to RN bridge is by GPA only and my GPA was quite high, when i applied 18 LPN 's applied and 8 got in. i guess you have to take you NLN and get lots of points ( if you are not a LPN), it is a very competive school and tried and true. i heard the more points you have the better you'll be. i would contact the nursing program and start getting the points. last class i heard abut 400 applied and 125 got in , including the LPN to RN bridge. i'm sorry i'm not much help .. keep us posted on how you are doing..

i graduated from csn from the nursing program - it took me a couple of tries to get in - the third time I got in last minute because someone dropped during the first couple days of class. I started a week after everyone else and had to take up that persons schedule so it took a quick adjustment but it was ok.

They go by a point system depending on how many pre requisites you have completed and what grade you got in that class plus they have points for previous certifications, volunteer work and what ever score you get on your NLN will give you different points. So obviously the higher the better.

Just keep trying to apply even if you are not done with all your prerequisites and show a genuine interest so they know to call you even if the semester has already started - like what happened to me.

I just got accepted to CSN on my first try. Today was my first day, so far so good. They go off of a point system. There is a total of 37 possible points. If you go on their website it spells out how to accumulate each of those points. I was surprised to find out that they took down to 23 points for this class (full-time). I worked my tail off and made sure I had a 4.0 before applying, but based on this group's pts I could have got in with only a 2.0. I think that because more schools are opening up, it may be more easier to get in than in the past...
Good luck

I'm trying to apply for the Fall 08 I believe, does anyone know where we go to apply? I went to Building K today and they said to go on the CSN website to Health services and there would be a page to print out there and I don't see it. Congrats to those who were accepted. =0)

NEVER MIND I FOUND IT!
