First semester CSN students


Did anyone else here (full-time students) put their name down for the lottery to be selected for mental health in the summer with the part time students? Did anyone get selected? I got the call today that I got picked and now trying to decide whether to still go ahead and do it. Anyone got any advice for second semester or can tell me what its like and whether its worth it to spread the two classes out so that you'd only be taking 115 in the fall instead of 243 and 115 at the same time?

I graduated from CSN in 07 from the fulltime program...I did mental health in the summer and i think it's nice to get it done and over with. It's also nice to have extra time to study for 115! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Just wanted to say that woohoo first semester is over!!! I passed with B's in both classes, so ecstatic. Hope everyone did great and that you all passed. So sad to see good friends of mine who didn't make it . I hope everyone who didn't make it doesn't give up!

Just an FYI - there is no financial aid for summer. Don't know if that affects your decision.

Yeah I decided to do it. So many people that wished they had been picked made me realize that it's an advantage for me and I should take any opportunity given to me that could make getting through the program easier. I don't get much holidays but it will make my life easier when it comes to taking med surg by itself.

It's not an extra class. Just gives 6 full time students (picked randomly) the opportunity to take mental health over the summer with part time students so that the workload for fall semester is much less with just taking med surg on its own.
