CSN Fall 2009 Full-Time RN Applicants

Just wondering how many are out there applying for the Fall 09 program. How many points are you applying with? This will be my second time applying; last semester I applied, but missed the cut off by 2 points. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm applying with 27 points. I was told that it is difficult to know the minimum points needed to get accepted to the Fall 09 since they started with the TEAS testing. I hope I have enough. Does anyone know when they will make the calls for acceptance to the Fall 09 program?

With the max being 34 points, going in with 27 is good. How was your TEAS? I have mine this Sat 2/21 and I am a bit nervous. Good luck!

I liked the TEAS better than the NLN. The testing atmosphere wasn't as formal and I didn't feel so rushed about completing the sections. I scored an 80 on my TEAS. Just relax and you will do fine. Good luck tomorrow!

Geez, I dunno. I say give it a try! I doesn't cost anything to apply, right? That's my outlook. I will keep applying until I get in.

Reading some of the treads out there, it is kinda scary to think that new grads are having a hard time getting a job, but I just keep my head up and continue to plug-a-way at following my dream of becoming an RN. I'll be wishing you the best!!!!!!!!!!

I agree the Teas was much better then the NLN. I ended up with a 84.7. So that gave me 27/28 points depending if they decided if they were going to round up and down. I applied last semester too but I missed by a point. YIKES! They are supposed to call by the end of April to let the applicants that get in know. I would say...EVERYONE should apply. You have nothing to lose! Keep me updated! GOOD LUCK!
BTW! These semester 1 girls are really quiet! I want to know how they are holding up! They are making me very nervous!

Yeah, I'm a bit nervous with only 27 points.
Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush sang it best in "Don't Give Up". This keeps me going when I'm down.

haha thanks for the encouragement. I love peter gabriel (and tony levin is my fav. bass player) by the way. Yea I just transferred to CSN and because I don't have comm 101, history, and micro done I get knocked down 11 points. My 3.9 prerequisite GPA means nothing :/.

Glad u liked. FYI I took my micro and fundamentals of life science(189) from NSC during the summer and loved it. It was fast and furious. Kinda like pulling off a Band-Aid I took political science at CSN. It was just OK. I didn't like the teacher pushing his views on us. I don't know about comm 101 'cuz I took mine in Texas. Wow, a GPA of 3.9 is great! Hang in there.
