CNA or OB Tech in L&D?

Hi all,

I am doing my CNA this semester at CCSN while I wait to apply for the ADN program for fall. My ultimate goal is to become a midwife and I know the experience working in the unit would be beneficial to me so my question is, when I have finished my CNA I would like to work in L&D for the experience but I was wondering do CNA's work in L&D in Las Vegas Area hospitals or is it restricted to RN's? Also do the hospitals here utilize OB Techs if not CNA's? Would it be of my interest to do the OB Tech course to be able to work in the area? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
