Is it true that with a degree from Touro University in Las Vegas, you can only practice in Nevada State? I saw this comment on one of the forums and was really curious to know if this is true.[/quote]
Oh heck no you can take your NCLEX anywhere in the US, to become licensed after graduation. In my class right now just about 75% of it is from Cali, a few from Utah, Colorado, New Mexico....and so on; they have no intentions on staying in the great state of Nevada after schooling... So that is false what you have heard, come here then go home or somewhere else! Hopes this helps!!

I am agree with the previous post. The deal is some states doesn not allow you to practice these are only 1-2 states so no big deal. otherwise u can work anywhere in USA with degree from Touro.
i am thinking to go there for RN-BSN after i will complete ADN.

Hi to the Superficial poster- I also graduated from Touro Univ. Henderson in May 2008, we were the 2nd batch (accelereated BSN/ELM), if I'm correct your group is the third accelerated BSN -your group is not the first BSN, the first BSN/ELM started in 2005 about 8 people were in it. Now, they replaced the BSN/ELM for a 16 mos. BSN, when I was still in nursing school- it was dreadfully hard ( exams, 5-10 chapters per week, clinicals ), if I have to start all over again I would have gone to a 16 months BSN or a 2 to 3 year program. It went pretty fast, however, if you have a very high IQ it's okay learning in 1 year then 6 mos. for the master's program is not enough and unrealistic, but I'm glad I did it and passed the NCLEX-RN (it's all over). The staff at Touro are very helpful and nice, they will provide you all the tools you needed to pass the boards....It was a great program!!! Hey you can't buy time but depending on your financial situation....I wish all the best for the future nurses.....
