apollo RN program

i work with a young lady that attends the apollo RN program. i asked her how many people she started the program with and how many are left?, she told me " no one fails at apollo college. it is a private college and we pay to much for them to fail us" , i thought that was interesting, and wondered what their NCLEX pass rates were?
thank you all in advance...

Maybe she means they get alot of extra help? I know the apollo program took one of our better clinical instructors because they were able to offer her more money. She was awesome and extremely helpful to students. I'm at NSC now. Not sure what apollos pass rates are. But they all start out bad. We started out in the 60% and now we are low 90's.

Hello, I am an Apollo College student
The 1st graduating class of the Las Vegas campus of Apollo College hasn't taken the NCLEX yet. But the other Apollo campuses had amazing results.(some campuses got 100%) Our instructor shared them with us in class.
But as far as them not failing anyone, I haven't seen anyone fail after using all of their resources that Apollo offers. I've seen people drop out but they had other issues.
The program at Apollo is extremly difficult but the students graduate and are ready for the NCLEX.

I am in the 3rd sesester at Apollo. Our first semester, we had 2 students fail and 1 drop out for work reasons. Our second semester we had 5 students fail and 1 drop out. When a student fails, they are not allowed to move on to the next semester with the class they came in with. If there is an opening in the coming semester, they can retake the semester they failed and pay for it again. If there is not an opening, they must wait until there is one. We just had our first graduating class a few weeks ago so we don't have any results of pass/fail on NCLEX yet. So far thats all I know. Hope it helps some.

Do any of you know if it's been difficult for apollo grads to get a job in a hospital after graduation. I heard a rumor that they are usually considered last for jobs ? Is this true ??

i don't know, but once you pass boards , sign RN after your name i don't think they care what school you went to.
i do know some new grads have had alot of trouble getting jobs because hosptals only hire so many new grads a year.

not at all

first off, there are many new grads that maybe take a month or so to find jobs because some hospitals dont wanna hire new grads, no new grad programs, etc...

i know many students from other schools across the valley that had to wait as much as 6 months for a job.
