any good review center here in vegas for nclex-rn?

congrats!!Im happy for you. Actually, this is my first time to take the NCLEX and I am already eligible to take the test.But I didnt pay the pearson vue yet,because I know I need to take the test within 90 days.And I am not sure if I am that ready.Right now,I am starting to review, the first thing that I want to do is to go back to my nursing books read them then after that i will concentrate to the review books like saunders then practice answering the questions. I dont know how long it will take, I really need to read nursing books b ecause it been a while since when I was in the school.

Blessed, for how long you'd study the nclex?Were you facing the books,reviewer all night long?..I just want to know because I really dont have a ptience in term of studying.hehehe

By the way,I'm from the philippines,I been here in nevada for a couple of weeks now. I am already a Registered Nurse in our country, I was working as a staff nurse for 3 months and right now hoping to pass the nclex so that I cn start working here.

On the average I studied 3 hours everyday for 2 weeks and got a little more than halfway through the Saunders book. I know how you feel I do not like to study...it's the most I've ever studied in my life!! You can do it if I can besides you're already a nurse from the Philippines! best wishes!

it's not that i'm discouraging you to go to a review center. i just believe that you can make it even with self review with your mind focused and proper attention.saunder's and nsna helped me pass the nclex.i did more of Q & A.goodluck!

am17sg05 is right, there's no such thing as a good review center.just stay focused when you are reviewing & don't think about failing the test but instead put a big banner in your room & write on all your review materials, "i will pass the NCLEX with flying colors" say that again & again before you start reviewing.if you feel that you are not focused in the middle of reviewing something, stop & rest then continue reading again.one thing that helped me with the test is: do not look for the right answer after reading the question(this idea is from a kaplan book i read), ask yourself why a certain options are wrong first then ask yourself again why the option that was left is right.i tried it & it works.

hi i have a friend who is worried ... he is in the same situation ... he took the nclex rn exam in nevada twice and failed ... he is studying for his next exam now, but he is very scared because of the nevada 3x take or refresher course rule ... he is asking me if he can just take california exam ... i told him i doubt it because he is still eligible in nevada ... i just want to make sure i told him the right thing ... can he or can he not transfer to a different state?

and for me ... i am going to take my nclex rn exam soon here in california ... does california have a rule on how many times you can take the exam? ...
