3 classes, all requires B

I am planning to take Micro, A&P 2 and Nutrition in the spring. All these classes requires B to get in the program. Did anyone experience taking all these 3 classes at the same time?

Which school are you referring to? At UNLV I had taken Micro & Nutrition together (along with 2 other general ed requirements) and did fine. Micro along with A&P II will be tough but definitely doable.

You really want to shoot for grades higher than a 'B' though. Although that is the minumum, admission into the School of Nursing is getting very competitive.

I registered for A&P 2 and Nutrition at UNLV. I am thinking about taking Micro at CSN since UNLV offers just one class schedule for it. I have a decent GPA, my adviser at UNLV said I wouldn't have any problem getting in the program because of the catalog I am in. I agree though that school of nursing is getting really competitive and schools make it harder to get in. Better safe than sorry

Oh you must be in the 04-06 catalog (I was in that catalog as well), so you will have absolutely no problem getting in. Many of my classmates took Micro as CSN because Micro at UNLV is known for being a beast of a class.

You should have no problem getting your required B's with that Spring schedule.

I took a similar schedule many years ago and did all right. But if you found A&P1 to be a bear, realize that you will be working hard in A&P2 also. You just need to organize yourself really well and make certain you don't get behind. At the schools I attended, Micro was not that hard, but had a lot of memorization. Nutrition was a lot of work. We did food diaries and other projects, that took time. Like I said, you have to be organized. At least you don't have chem in the mix. I still would try to get As in your classes if possible. The better your GPA the better your chances. Also, you never know. Down the road you may want to go to grad school and will need the best record you can get. Good luck.

Are you currently registered at UNLV? Yes, I heard Micro is tough at UNLV...I don't know but the only reason I can't take it is because of their class schedule. NSC offers Saturday classes for Micro...I might consider that

Those 3 classes are the last classes I need to take to get in the program. I am hoping to get in the program in the summer. I don't want to regret taking 3 classes and not get good grades though. Thank you for the advice.
I finished my Chem. classes with A's

Good for you on getting As in chem. If you can get As in chem you should be able to pull at least a B in A&P2.

You should do fine. I'm not sure about the micro at UNLV, I took mine at CSN and it was not bad. I took A&P 2 at Nevada State and that was an easy A.

I took A&P 2 and micro at the same time at UNLV, but I did it during the summer, so it was 5 weeks to complete the two classes. It was definitely a rough 5 weeks, but it can be done.
