Vaprisol

  1. Has anyone out there had the opportunity to use Vaprisol yet? What an awesome drug!!!! Newest tx for dilutional hyponatremia. It's a diuretic that spares the sodium!!! Now you can make the patient pee all that fluid off and keep all the sodium.

Yes, it is a good drug. Only through a central line though, but we do use Vaprisol on my unit when need.

We are using it too and L-O-V-E this drug. No more juggling the fluid vs. Na. Love it!

Used for dilutional hyponatremia. It is sodium sparing, so you aren't fighting with replacing the Na. It's a diuretic.
