Tips on how to get a job in the unit

I am a recent grad with 10yrs LPN experience. I have applied at a Level 1 trauma facility. I want to work in tne ICU. Neuro ICU is my first choice. I've had an interview but the manager hired someone with ICU experience instead. My question is "what qualities do I need to work in the ICU as a new RN grad"? The interview was great and there were alot of positive things said but I still didn't get the job. Do I keep trying or should I apply with another ICU department
